Volvo cars have been driving on roads around the world for 80 years. On April 14, 1927, the very first series-produced Volvo car rolled out of the factory on the island of Hisingen in Gothenberg, Sweden. Almost 15 million cars have been produced since Volvo Cars operations started. Throughout the years, Volvo Cars has focused on safety and design, while being environmentally conscious.
