On Friday August 17, Renault issued a press release reminding everybody - perhaps chiefly those who've been incommunicado for the past three months - that the second-generation Laguna will indeed premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 10. So no news, really.  Renault has made it no secret that it is going on upmarket in terms of "fit and finish, interior materials, soundproofing and a new quiet air condition system" and suitably today's press release serves no other purpose but to assure cynics that the Laguna will undoubtedly be a high-quality car. Renault revealed two interesting pictures of the of the Laguna undergoing climatic conditions and reliability testing in Argentina and Russia.

With the Laguna launch just "looming on the horizon," check out the press release in the meantime.
