Rimac has introduced the new Concept_S.

Billed as the "evil twin" of the Concept_One, the Concept_S is a high-performance model which has been equipped with an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front splitter, extended side skirts, an aggressive diffuser, and a large rear wing.  Thanks to these modifications, the Concept_S generates 34% more downforce than the Concept_One.

The sporty styling continues in the interior as designers installed Alcantara upholstery and lightweight racing seats with four-point harnesses.  Drivers will also discover carbon fiber trim, CNC machined switchgear, and a digital instrument cluster.  There's also a revised infotainment system that "projects only the most important information."

Power is provided by a bespoke Rimac All Wheel Torque Vectoring_S system which uses four electric motors and an 82 kilowatt hour battery pack.  This enables the Concept_S to produce 1,384 horsepower and 1,327 pound-feet of torque which is 296 hp and 147 lb-ft more than the Concept_One.

Thanks to the upgraded powertrain, the model accelerates from 0-62 miles per hour in 2.5 seconds, 0-124 mph in 5.6 seconds, and 0-186 mph in 13.1 seconds.  The car will eventually hit a top speed of 227 mph which is 7 mph more than the Concept_One.
