Following today’s leaked image, Renault has taken the wraps off the all-new Kadjar SUV.

The global premiere of the car will be held during the Geneva Motor Show in March. The crossover is set to go on sale in Europe and in many African and Mediterranean Basin countries from the summer, followed by UK and China. The French company says the Kadjar “stands out through its fluid, athletic exterior styling”, while its interior is “both sporty and refined”. The model is aimed to customers who want to upgrade from the Megane or the Captur and will become the first Renault vehicle to be manufactured in China.

The C-segment crossover shares the DNA of the Captur with design cues from the DeZir concept featuring soft lines, optional LED headlights and a Clio-like rear end. There’s also a complete underbody protection and 19-inch alloy wheels, available at an extra price.

The Kadjar offers “a smart, comfortable and carefully appointed interior”, as the producer explains, and comes with a completely new shapes compared to other Renault models. The company also says it has been fitted with high-quality materials and the R-Link 2 multimedia system.

Based on the CMF platform that also underpins the Nissan Qashqai, the Kadjar will be available with either a four- or two-wheel-drive configuration. It will be offered with a range of “particularly efficient” units, but details about the engine lineup will be revealed during the Geneva Motor Show.

Full details are available at the press release section below.
