Land Rover has released a rather inconclusive teaser of the Range Rover Sport RS set to come out in a short while. The attached video was shot at the Nürburgring, hinting Land Rover has prepared and tested the vehicle at the famous German track.
Programmed to sit on top of the range, the RS will come with an additional 40 PS (29 kW) and 40 lb-ft (55 Nm) over the Supercharged version which means the 5.0-liter V8 engine will deliver somewhere in the region of 550 PS (405 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque.
The added oomph should allow the high-performance crossover hit 62 mph (100 km/h) from a standstill in approximately 4.8 seconds before topping out at around 165 mph (265 km/h).
The all-wheel drive Range Rover Sport RS has been caught on camera by our spies numerous times carrying a more aggressive body together with a quad sports exhaust system and a large diffuser. Also on the menu are beefier alloy wheels, stiffer suspension and an uprated braking system to match the extra power.
A full reveal will likely occur in the weeks to come while sales are slated to kick off before the end of the year.
