Ferrari F12 TRS one-off packs KERS and costs 4.2M USD

Most expensive Ferrari ever?

A couple of images with a one-off Ferrari F12 Berlinetta called "TRS" have surfaced the web.

Ferrari's Special Projects division has been quite busy lately with one-off models such as the SP12 EC, SP America, SP FFX and now photographs with a new model called F12 TRS have emerged. Details are limited at this moment but we notice the vehicle adopts a targa open-top configuration and looks more aggressive (and perhaps better) than the regular Berlinetta.

According to Jalopnik, the special model was commissioned by a wealthy customer who was willing to pay no less than 4.2M USD which would make the LaFerrari chump change at 1.4M USD. Besides looking a lot different compared to the standard F12, the guys from FerrariChat are indicating this vehicle has been fitted with an F1-inspired KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) which means that for a limited amount of time the car offers more than the stock 740 PS (544 kW) from its 6.2-liter V12 engine.

The car's name hasn't been confirmed but this is probably it since last week Ferrari trademarked the symbol at home in Italy.

Of course it is massively overpriced, but then, I think owner got more than Eric Clapton with his custom 458. So from that point of view it is a bargain ;)

i believe it share internals with la ferrari. la ferrari's engine is fromt he f12 berlinetta so what ferrari might have done is adapt la ferrari's electronics to the f12 and put it on this car. so, maybe this car is around 950hp

Its one-off and its Ferrari, that's enough to justify the price tag.

This is worth 4 million if it has everything better than laferrari at least 50% above it. For a 4x pricetag a 1.5x performance and tech is still overpriced. But can be accepted because it is only one. But on the downside, this being the only prototype it can have shitload of problems, which will create suffering to the user that can't enjoy his product. If the tech is below LaFerrari, than it's junk, even though it looks amazing.

It works properly , I'm sure, because it uses a standard and probably 80 - 90 precent of F12 berlinetta parts, electronics and others. KERS adopted maybe directly from LaFerrari so it's been tested. Lucky owner, but would I pay over 4 Mills??? I would rather knock on the XX Programme door and try to acquire LaFerrari XX model...

The price is insane but it looks amazing as well. Much better than Ferrari's recent effort (California T and LaF)

It's a very beautiful car, but for that money you can buy FOUR LaFerraris! Or LaFerrari, Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and Bugatti Veyron!

Every one is speaking about the price. But if the owner can pay 4.2 M for a One-off Ferrari he surely don't care about the price .. He can buy this car an the same day order the LaFerrari, Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and Bugatti Veyron ... he's problem was not the price but which color will I choose :)
