Rear end looks a lot better

Several official images of the second generation BMW X6 have surfaced the web ahead of an expected imminent full reveal.

Drawing most of its styling cues from the 2014 X5, the second iteration of the coupe-profiled sport activity vehicle adopts an evolutionary design which suits the model quite well, especially at the back where the rear end doesn't look awkward as it does on the outgoing model. The love/hate silhouette has been maintained but somehow BMW managed to make the model look more refined.

Engine lineup will be taken from the X5 so expect an inline-six 306 PS 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo and a V8 450 PS 4.4-liter while on the diesel side there will be a six-cylinder 258 PS and a 381 PS tri-turbo 3.0-liter. Later on during the car's lifespan, a range-topping X6 M will be added to the range with more than 555 PS (408 kW) coming from an uprated V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo.

An official online reveal of the 2015 BMW X6 should occur shortly.

Overall, it is not that bad looking. The most important and visible weakness of this car is its wheels, which are small compare to size of the car.

Love it or hate it but this looks good, it's supposed to be a big "F you" on the road and it is, just like upcoming MLC or Cayenne coupe or whatever. After all if everything would make sense than the world would be full of Toyotas.

Oh yeah, muscle-bomber. The bull on wheels. Champion in semi-heavyweight, infiniti fx and many other began tremble. Meanwhile lambo plans its model, BMW showed its own Urus.

There wasn't much to ruin since it was already an ugly car... but they managed to accomplish just that. At least the current version has a nice looking front and back, this one... nope.

Those wheel arches look so wrong even with big rims ! I guess the car needs at least 21" to look decent....i don't understand why they make them so big and ugly !

Looks good, I liked the first generation but I like this one even more. Both the X5, and this new X6 have a more sophisticated look then the previous generation, I recently drove the new X5 XDrive 50i and thought it was a vast improvement over the 08 X5 4.8i I had.

Unfortunately, BMW sells its cars no matter how they design them. I truly hope the new MB MLC will attract all BMW X6 customers.

What a hideous machine. Looks pretty much the same as the X4, apart from the headlights.

I considered current x6 as pure ugliness after I first saw it. And this one doesn't look any better indeed.

Still a thoroughly ridiculous car that will usually be red or white and driven by heavyset bald guy with chains shouting loudly into mobile phones...

Last generation, I would have taken X6 over X5, but now, I would go for X5 anyday. It doesn't look bad, but overall it looks weird. Although I might change my mind when I see it in flesh.
