A Land Rover representative has announced a more luxurious version of the Range Rover is currently in the works.
As if the current Range Rover wasn't expensive and luxurious enough, Land Rover's design chief Gerry McGovern says a new range-topping version is in the works to bring further "individuality" which will take the model to the "ultimate level."
The most expensive Range Rover money can buy these days is the long wheelbase Autobiography Black which kicks off at 199,500 USD, including the 895 USD destination & delivery charges. The new flagship variant will go well beyond the 200,000 USD mark and will probably go up against upcoming SUV offerings from high-end automakers such as Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Lamborghini.
In related news, Gerry McGovern also confirmed the existence of a Range Rover Sport RS which is rumored to receive a 543 bhp V8 5.0-liter engine that will enable the high-performance crossover to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than five seconds.
