The strip tease continues as our spies have snapped new pictures of the Mercedes C-Class Estate.
Set to debut later this year, the wagon will follow in the footsteps of the sedan and adopt a stylish exterior that borrows cues from the E- and S-Class. The rear end is heavily camouflaged but we can see it will have a slopping roofline, an upward sweeping beltline and wraparound taillights.
The model should be larger than its predecessor as the sedan is 95mm longer and 40mm wider than the outgoing model. Despite the size increase, the wagon should be lighter than thanks to the new MRA platform.
Engine options will carryover from the four-door variant, so expect choices to include:
- A 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel with outputs of 115 HP (85 kW) and 136 HP (100 kW)
- A 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel with 170 HP (125 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque
- A 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol with 156 HP (115 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque
- A 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol with 184 HP (135 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque
