Skoda boss Winfried Vahland has confirmed a four-door coupe version of the Octavia and a crossover will be launched after the next-gen Fabia will be out.
Details about the Octavia four-door coupe are limited at the moment but it will likely follow the same styling direction as the Volkswagen CC with a sloped roofline and will be more expensive than the regular Octavia.
As for the crossover, design chief Josef Kaban says it will be different compared to current Skoda models, just like the Yeti was but without being "too faddish." It will be a more expensive car which will have to keep its design appeal for a few years since Skoda believes customers will want to keep them for a longer period.
The next generation of the Skoda Fabia will go on sale in 2015 and will likely be previewed at next year's Paris Motor Show. Vahland said the new model will attract a younger customer base thanks more connectivity features. It is believed the new Fabia will be around 50mm longer and in estate form it will have a slightly bigger trunk.
