Jaguar mocks Mercedes-Benz’s chicken ad for Magic Body Control [video]

They prefer cat-like reflexes

Jaguar's marketing department has come up with a rather clever commercial in which they make fun of Mercedes-Benz's Magic Body Control ad.

Towards the end of September, German marque Mercedes-Benz introduced a commercial showcasing the benefits of having Magic Body Control on the 2014 S-Class. The ad was highly appraised for its ingenuity but it seems Jaguar has a different opinion.

Their "Jaguar vs Chicken" ad makes fun of Mercedes' clip as the chicken ends up eaten by a jaguar. The British automaker says that instead of Magic Body Control they prefer "cat-like reflexes" although they don't point out a specific model from Jaguar's range.

Hopefully, this won't be the end of the story and Mercedes-Benz will strike back.

Too funny, nice job Jaguar. Comparing your car to chicken is asking for trouble.

And Mercedes is going to dust off their nearly 70 years old Tigers to fight the machines from Castle Bromwich once again.

"Hopefully, this won't be the end of the story and Mercedes-Benz will strike back"...I think Mercedes-Benz is above such childish games - they don't need to prove that they're better than anyone, because we already know they make some of the finest vehicles in the world ;p

No offense, but Mercedes' bad quality reputation proves their reputation otherwise. Look up their consumer reviews, craaaappy...

As humorous as that ad was, Jag doesn't have any technology that can touch MBC. They have yet to even develop anything close to the 13-year-old ABC that MBC is based off of.

Infiniti have the same feature in their Active suspension using SONAR on their 1st generation Q45 back in the early 1990s. /yawwwwwnnnn

If you knew even a little bit about Nissan's SONAR suspension (from the 80s!), you'd know it wasnt available on the Q45, and that it was inferior to MBC, ABC and Infiniti's 16-bit "FAS" on the Q45a.

i think the mb commercial is quite creative and "cute" but the Jaguar commercial totally turned it around and had viewers, who are not MB fan boys, LMAO ROFL! Good job on both but the Jaguar commercial win in my book.

Just take it as a joke! It's not like someone's going to buy Jag over MB just because of this AD!

Good point, but it's still not "sharp". I don't know, I think it could have been a bit more clever, sort of like the "beats the bends" ad by BMW in the early 90s.

Nice but... I was never a big fan of ads that just try to put down the competition instead of actually promoting themselves.
