To replace Viano

Mercedes-Benz has published the first images depicting the all-new V-Class scheduled to come out sometime next year.

It turns out previous rumors were accurate as Mercedes-Benz will replace the Viano nameplate with this V-Class which will also serve as a replacement for the slow-selling R-Class. Chances are the new model will be shown in full next March during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and should reach dealerships shortly after that.

Codenamed W447, the new model brings back the V-Class moniker which was phased out approximately a decade ago and we have learned from Mercedes-Benz that business owners will receive a more upscale version that will be sold with the Vito name.

This initial set of photos with the V-Class confirm Mercedes-Benz's switch to a more people-oriented vehicle as the car boasts a premium cabin with wood inserts, chocolate leather upholstery, several metallic accents and an overall similar design to the company's most recent passenger cars.

If you want the van to be practical and last long, for going on trips, carry things, maybe sleep in it and this kind of use... this is the worst interior you could have. It even takes more room than it should. I personally don't like it at all.

While that's correct, for those who are chauffeured on business trips, luxury is what they need/demand.

That's why they offer the MB Vito. This the Viano's interior, which has always been more luxurious.

Woooow! My Gooood, this looks good! What a beautiful interior! If the exterior looks anything like the sketches....this will be a stunner! A real spacious alternative to a big saloon

Love how I get negatives from people who probably don't even own a Mercedes. I love Mercs, really do. Have got a couple but a bit disillusioned by this stuck on screen thing. My A207 E-Cabrio has an integrated screen as does my X166 GL. They could have made the screen fold away into the dash above the vents very easily as the screens do in the A6, A7 & A8 but no, just make it an afterthought to an otherwise stunning looking interior.
