Alfa Romeo to offer 4C with other headlights; Targa and high-performance versions planned - report
Alfa Romeo 4C

Headlights derived from concept

A new report indicates Alfa Romeo has some updates in tow for the recently introduced 4C.

Auto Edizione is reporting the Italian marque will offer the 4C with a new set of headlights derived from the 2011 concept. This is great news since the headlight design has been the subject of many disputes revolving around what we consider as being a very beautiful car. This piece of information has actually been confirmed by the car's design team leader Marco Tencone in an interview in which he added the Launch Edition will focus on weight reduction.

The same Italian source mentions Alfa Romeo is also working on a more powerful version of the 4C, as well as on a targa derivative which will have different headlights and a new interior cabin. The beefed up 4C could be the rumored Stradale which will allegedly have 266 bhp (198 kW) compared to the standard model that provides 237 bhp (177 kW). This car will be based on a track-only 4C Racing which is also rumored to be in the works at Alfa's headquarters.

240 metric horsepower hp(M)also PS, cv, hk, pk, ks, ch, KS, KM, CP ,LE corrisponde 237 mechanical horsepower hp(l) usfully refeired as hp only in everyday life The various units used to indicate this definition (PS, cv, hk, pk, ks and ch) all translate to horse power in English, so it is common to see these values referred to as horsepower or hp in the press releases or media coverage of the German, French, Italian, and Japanese automobile companies. British manufacturers often intermix metric horsepower and mechanical horsepower depending on the origin of the engine in question. Sometimes the metric horsepower rating of an engine is conservative enough so that the same figure can be used for both 80/1269/EEC with metric hp and SAE J1349 with imperial hp. DIN 66036 defines one metric horsepower as the power to raise a mass of 75 kilograms against the earth's gravitational force over a distance of one metre in one second; this is equivalent to 735.49875 W or 98.6% of an imperial mechanical horsepower. Names for the metric horsepower are the Dutch paardenkracht (pk), the French chevaux (ch), the Swedish hästkraft (hk), the Finnish hevosvoima (hv), the Norwegian and Danish hestekraft (hk), the Hungarian lóer? (LE), the Czech ko?ská síla and Slovak konská sila (k or ks), the Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian konjska snaga (KS),the Bulgarian "?????? ????", the Macedonian ?????? ???? (KC), the Polish ko? mechaniczny and Slovenian konjska mo? (KM) and the Romanian cal-putere (CP) which all equal the German Pferdestärke (PS).

As soon as this receives the headlights from the concept, I can't fault its looks. Simply beautiful little sports car.
