The Opel Corsa OPC is set to get a mid-cycle facelift for the 2014 model year that will include minor cosmetic changes to the exterior and interior.

These latest shots show the prototype from all angles giving us a best look yet. Just like its standard sibling, the high performance OPC will receive an entirely new front end albeit with a little more aggression in the mix.

Power will continue to be sourced from the same 1.6-liter turbocharged engine that has blessed the current model. If power output remains unchanged we should see it produce 189hp (192PS,141kW) and 230Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque.

New one actually being based on the old one. They saw it from VW. But they are not VW. But this is better than making completely new one 100 or 200 kg heavyer than the old one, like they did with Astra or Insignia. GM hasn't got new tecnology for cutting weight.

Well, a "mid-cycle facelift" is interesting, the Corsa is on market since 2006, so it's far over his "mid-cylce" and received already a facelift few years ago. Opel tries to keep it fresh but it's still an 7 year old car - a completely new one would be appropriate.
