28-year-old transportation designer Sebastian Kunz has created some new renderings of the 2015 Audi R8.
Drawing inspiration from the Nanuk concept, which was recently debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Kunz created a stylish coupe which has an evolutionary and edgy design.
Starting up front, the model has a prominent grille that is flanked by LED headlights and large air intakes. The sporty styling continues further back as the car has massive alloy wheels and angular side blades that recall the Nanuk.
As we have previously reported, the 2015 Audi R8 is slated to have a bold front fascia with Matrix LED headlights. We can also expect shorter side blades and a Le Mans inspired "double diffuser."
Engine options remain unconfirmed but rumors have suggested the car will be offered with a 4.2-liter V8 that develops approximately 450 bhp (335 kW) and a 5.2-liter V10 that cranks out roughly 570 bhp (425 kW). Despite being more powerful than its predecessor, the 2015 R8 will be more fuel-efficient as it is expected to use start/stop technology, a cylinder deactivation system and a number of carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced plastic components.
