The extra-long wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been spied testing once again prior to next year's possible arrival.
Mercedes-Benz plans on positioning this model between the current long wheelbase model and the forthcoming Pullman. We remind you the LWB version on sale today is 5246mm long whereas the extra-long wheelbase seen in these spy pics will be around 200mm longer and will maintain the 2+2 seating arrangement.
The third side window is included in the rear doors of both SWB and LWB versions of the S-Class, but on the longer model it will be located after the rear doors, clearly indicating the wheelbase will be longer. This won't be however the longest S-Class as Mercedes-Benz is also planning a Pullman version as a replacement for the defunct Maybach. This even longer version is rumored to have a length of almost 6000mm and should feature a 2+2+2 seating layout.
