It appears as if Citroën has already started testing the production version of the recently unveiled Cactus concept.
It was only several hours ago when Citroën released the first photos and preliminary details with the IAA-bound Cactus concept and now we've just received a batch of spy photos depicting the production version which will be a budget car part of the new C-Line family. The car was seen undergoing testing in southern Europe and it appears to have a similar shape as the concept.
While the Cactus has a new Hybrid Air system featuring a PureTech engine, the production model will probably adopt a conventional small and frugal powertrain once it comes out in 2015. The proportions of the vehicle will probably mirror those of the concept so it will be around 4.21 meters long, 1.75 meters wide and 1.53 meters tall.
More details about the concept will be disclosed at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will open its doors at the beginning of next week.
Note: The other camouflaged car seen in the spy photos is the next-gen C1.
