The Kia Soul EV has been spied during "feeding time" ahead of a launch expected in the first half of 2014.
It's a known fact the second generation of the Kia Soul will spawn an all-electric version which will look virtually the same as the conventional-powered model, except for the different alloys and obvious changes like the addition of a charging socket and lack of exhaust. The interior cabin, specifically the instrument clusters, should be lightly revised to match the electrified powertrain.
The Kia Soul EV will reportedly be a global model and should be able to cover up to 124 miles (200 km) before the battery pack is depleted. Details regarding technical specifications are scarce at the moment, but it is believed the Soul EV will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 12 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 87 mph (140 km/h).
Rumors are suggesting a starting price in Europe of approximately 22,000 EUR.
