Development work continues on the 2015 Hyundai Sonata as our spies have caught the model cruising around Germany.
Looking more refined than its predecessor, the car has an evolutionary design which borrows cues from the Genesis and Equus. The camouflage hides of a lot of details but we can see the model will have a prominent grille, slender headlights and a contoured hood. The roofline also appears higher but nothing is official as of yet.
Under the hood, the entry-level 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine could be replaced by the turbocharged 1.6-liter unit that resides in the Veloster Turbo. The engine produces 201 bhp (150 kW) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque which is a slight improvement over the 2.4-liter's 198 bhp (147 kW) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque.
The 2015 Hyundai Sonata is expected to be introduced late next year, so expect to learn more in the coming months.
