Volkswagen is continuing to roll out new Golf VII variants and spies have just snapped photos of the upcoming Golf Plus.
Set to go on sale next spring, the heavily camouflaged prototype has a familiar appearance with a front fascia that closely echoes the standard model. While it's hard to judge the car's size previous reports have indicated it could be 5cm longer and 15cm taller than its predecessor. The Golf Plus' wheelbase is also expected to grow by 6cm which should result in a more accommodating cabin.
Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model so choices could include:
- A 1.2-liter TSI with outputs of 85 HP (63 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW)
- A 1.4-liter TSI with outputs of 122 HP (90 kW) and 140 HP (103 kW)
- A 1.6-liter TDI with 105 PS (77 kW)
- A 2.0-liter TDI with 150 PS (110 kW)
