Will replace the outgoing TL

Acura is in the midst of a major product revamp and new details are starting to emerge about the 2015 TLX.

Set be launched next summer, the TL successor will continue to be a fancy Honda as it will reportedly be based on the new Accord. This isn't much of a surprise but it should result in a smaller model with a shorter wheelbase.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but the most likely candidate is the company's 3.5-liter V6 that develops 310 bhp (231 kW) and 272 lb-ft (368 Nm) of torque. It will likely be connected to a six-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system.

Please do something about this awfully boring and dull design's of Acura. What happened to making sporty Acura's?! What's so appealing about a luxurious toaster?

If acura made a 2 door and 4 door, that was rear drive and put that 3.5 engine in it, it would be more interesting and people would actually want it. It would also differentiate it from the accord. You cant make a car with the same price of a 3 series and make it fwd.... the only japanese cars that can compete with the 3 series are the infiniti g37 and lexus IS.

I understand; had an Acura Legend Coupe; its engine and suspension did not have the ride and handling of the current TL, though; loved the body and not the suspension/ride; I want it all. The current TL is superior to that Legend execution, and as much as I would like another coupe, I would not want that suspension or ride.

I know I shouldn't speak for everyone but I'm sure that this comes as no surprise to anyone as to what the platform has always been based on

Honda should shut down Acura, a brand that never was, and focus on being an engineering firm aiming to make great Honda cars.
