Mercedes-Benz has released a teaser video with the 2014 GLA which will be presented at next month's IAA in Frankfurt.
Following a concept unveiled earlier this year at Auto Shanghai, Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to show the production GLA which judging from this teaser clip will carry a lot of the concept's design cues but a bit toned down. Basically a high-riding A-Class, the GLA is a compact crossover that will have a two-bar front grille, Mercedes-Benz's most recent headlight design, along with bulging fenders and a spoiler mounted on the tailgate.
Engine lineup will be borrowed from the A-, B- and CLA-Class models so expect a 1.8-liter with 134 HP (100 kW), a 2.1-liter diesel with 168 HP (168 HP), a 1.6-liter gasoline rated at 120 HP (90 kW) and a 2.0-liter gasoline outputting 207 HP (155 kW). The range-topping GLA45 AMG is likely to adopt a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo mill generating 360 HP (265 kW).
