2014 Hyundai Avante / Elantra teased

Will be offered with a new diesel engine

Hyundai has released the first teaser image of the facelifted Avante / Elantra.

Our Korean is a little rusty but quick translation says the model is "coming soon" and will feature a new diesel engine. That's not much to go on but the pictures suggest the car will also feature LED-infused headlights, restyled alloy wheels and an updated interior with new high-tech options.

Little else is known about the car, but the current Avante was introduced three years ago with a 1.6-liter Gamma GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) four-cylinder engine that developed 140 HP (103 kW) and 133 lb-ft (167 Nm) of torque. It has proven to be a sales success so Hyundai will likely keep changes relatively limited on the facelifted model.
