Our spies have managed to snap several new pictures of the 2015 Lexus IS F coupe which could adopt the RC F moniker.
Caught undergoing testing on the Nürburgring, the heavily camouflaged prototype has an aggressive exterior that borrows cues from the LFA and LF-CC concept. The spindle grille is flanked by large air intakes, while the hood-mounted intake hints at the beast residing underneath. The car is also equipped with an active rear spoiler and a four-tailpipe exhaust system.
The standard RC is expected to be introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show with a hybridized 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 3.5-liter V6 that develops 306 bhp (228 kW). The RC F should debut a few months later at the North American International Motor Show in Detroit. Nothing is official but speculation suggests it could be powered by a V8 engine that develops up to 460 bhp (343 kW).
