The interior cabin of the 2014 BMW i8 supercar has been partially revealed through these latest spy pics.
It seems BMW's second model in the upcoming "i" range (after the i3) will have a digital speedometer. The entire instrument cluster could be digital but we can't be sure after seeing these spy photos. We also notice a three-spoke steering wheel and new door handles, while the rest of the layout will be quite similar to other BMW models.
Unlike the concept which had a diesel engine, the production will make use of a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine working together with an electric motor. The BMW i8 will have a 2+2 seating configuration and should perform the 0-62 (0-100 km/h) run in around 4.8 seconds.
Scheduled to go on sale next year, BMW's newest supercar will carry an estimated price tag of 150,000 EUR (about 194,000 USD / 127,500 GBP). An official reveal should occur before the end of the year, following the i3's launch programmed for the end of the month.
