Koenigsegg CCR crashes and hits bystanders at GT Polonia [VIDEOS CONTAIN GRAPHIC SCENES]

Four people seriously injured

The driver of a Koenigsegg CCR lost control of the Swedish supercar at 2013 Gran Turismo Polonia event and seriously injured several spectators.

In the second video below you will notice right from the start the driver doesn't have the skills to tame the CCR as he loses control of the vehicle immediately after being green-lighted. GTBoard.com is reporting the driver decided to disable traction control which clearly was a bad move. The outcome of this crash: four spectators were seriously injured, while an additional 15 were also affected.

On a side note, if the Stig crashed a CCX during Series 8, Episode 1 of Top Gear UK, clearly an amateur driver like the one in this yellow CCR should keep traction control on at all times.

Thanks to Robert for sending us the tip!

Fortunately, no one was killed. People are seriously injured, but it does not threaten their lives. The organization was poor, but better secured events, there are more serious accidents. It is an unfortunate accident. Let us hope that someone draw the conclusions and in the future manage to avoid such accidents.

This is why you never get that close to the action...even with protective barriers and walls with professionals driving, you just never know,,,without any safety measures and hyper cars driven by amateurs you are just putting your life at risk..

This guy clearly could not handle this car, he should have been stopped when he spun out just pulling up to the start line. And a rule needs to be put in place at such events that your traction control must be on, especially in something as powerful as a Koenigsegg.
