The 2013 Skoda Octavia RS Liftback and Combi were spotted in a parking lot at a shopping center in Czech Republic.
Both of them can be had with a Golf VII GTI-sourced 2.0-liter TSI engine developing 220 HP (162 kW) or a Golf VII GTD-sourced 2.0-liter TDI producing 184 HP (135 kW). As standard, these engines are mated to a six-speed manual gearbox but a six-speed DSG can be had at an additional cost.
The manual TSI liftback hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 154 mph (248 km/h), while the manual TDI liftback needs 8.1 seconds to complete the sprint and will keep on going until reaching 144 mph (232 km/h).
Aside from the Golf VII GTI/GTD engine transplant, both Octavia RS models come with a lowered ride height (12mm liftback / 13mm combi), 17-inch alloys (up to 19-inch available), sports suspension, electronic differential lock built into the electronic stability control system, along with a more aggressive body kit. Inside they have a new instrument panel, leather-covered sports steering wheel, stainless steel sill plates and pedals, sports seats, black trim and "RS" badging.
Note: The light grey car with roof rails is a standard Skoda Octavia Combi, while the black one (also with roof rails) is the 2013 Skoda Superb Combi facelift.
