Buick Anthem to slot between Encore and Enclave - report
2013 Buick Encore

To be sold as a 2015MY

Buick is reportedly working on a new crossover called Anthem which will be slotted between the current Encore and Enclave.

According to GMInsideNews.com, the new model will ride on General Motors' "Delta" global compact architecture and will be launched in both North America and China with the Buick badge. Production is expected to start mid-2014 and will be sold as a 2015MY first in North America and then shortly after in China.

Depending on the market, the Buick Anthem will get different engines and it's believed the U.S.-spec model will be offered with a four-cylinder 2.5-liter and a 2.0-liter turbocharged mill. The "Anthem" nameplate has not been confirmed yet.

I really do not care what you call the new Buick SUV for 2014, I am just happy that you are going to build a Buick SUV between the Encore and the Enclave. Very anxious to own a Buick again, the size will be great for those that do not need a large Enclave but also do not want to drive a Buick Encore (if we wanted that small we would go foreign) there are those of us that want to support the USA and not interested in a roller skate. . . .

What, doesn't the anthem come before the encore? I guess GM couldn't come up with another "en-" name.
