Includes styling and performance upgrades

Nismo has officially unveiled their new tuning program for the Nissan Leaf.

On the styling front, customers can order an aerodynamic body kit that includes new bumpers, revised side skirts and spoiler extensions. The components are available in carbon fiber or fiber reinforced plastic and pricing starts at ¥543,900.

The sporty styling can also be enhanced with carbon fiber mirror caps, carbon fiber pillar trim and 18-inch aluminum wheels.

If you're looking for more meaningful upgrades, the sports suspension package adds new springs and dampers which reduce the ride height by 30mm and promise to deliver "improved handling and stability."  There's also an optimized vehicle control module which improves acceleration and performance.

Last but not least, customers can order floor mats with red contrast stitching and aluminum Nismo badges.

I was kind of hoping for it to be more in par with the race version of the Leaf, I knew that was a bit of a too high of an expectation.
