Maserati MC12 up for sale in California

Maserati MC12 up for sale in California
2005 Maserati MC12 18.6.2013 / Symbolic Motors

Company is asking for $1.6 million

Maserati is reportedly developing a LaFerrari-based supercar, but if you don't feel like waiting there's an ultra-rare 2005 MC12 on eBay.

Currently on sale in California, the blue and white MC12 looks absolutely pristine and only has 1816 km (1128 miles) on the odometer.

As you may recall, the MC12 is based on the Ferrari Enzo and features a 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 630 HP (460 kW) and 652 Nm (481 lb-ft) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed Cambiocorsa transmission which enables the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 330 km/h (205 mph).

Symbolic Motors is currently asking $1.6 (€1.1 / £1) million for the car but the company is accepting offers so you might get lucky with a low-ball bid.

How is this news? There are a couple of these for sale in Dubai right now and I see them in car dealerships all the time. The one in the ad below even has fewer miles than the one in the article. http://www.autotraderuae.com/index.php?go=cars_for_sale&car_id=82761 I get it that its a rare car (only 50 made) but its not news every time one of these gets sold. @ifudge ... Enzos are cheaper. There are a few for sale here now and they are all going for less than the MC12.

Don't bother- no back seats, no luggage room and the fuel consumption is terrible ;)

I'm with you guys, don't think I could pull the trigger on this over other cars in its price range, but the MC12 is a lot more rare than an Enzo. I think they only made these for two years with total production worldwide around 50 cars. Comparitively, Ferrari built 399 Enzo's. In the realm of these supercars, exclusivity and rarity take top billing over performance and styling.

If they're asking 1.6M for this then what's an Enzo worth?

I live about 15 minutes from this dealership and I have seen this car, its very nice, but its been sitting there a long time... along time. You be the judge, like Axden... I would prefer so many other vehicles than this one. But it is very unique in the world of cars.

no one cares... MC12 is automotive royalty and with only 50 ever made, one of the rarest supercars on the planet.
