Production version arriving in 2014

New details are now available concerning the Korres Project 4.

Designed and built by architect/inventor Dimitris Korres, the vehicle you are seeing in these photos is a pre-production version as it lacks the body panels and has a simple interior cabin which will be completely different when the production model arrives in 2014 in an initial batch of 50 units for North American and the Middle East markets.

The two-seater is 3920mm long, 1960mm wide and 1250mm tall, with a wheelbase measuring 2560mm and a curb weight of 1,600 kg (3,527 lbs). Power comes from the 7.0-liter LS7 naturally-aspirated engine taken from the Corvette Z06 which develops 505 bhp (376 kW). It will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

Power is transferred via a six-speed gearbox to all four wheels but there is an option for only a rear-wheel drive configuration. The Korres Project 4 has three differentials with central locking and torque is transferred 33:67 percent front/rear.

It's being described as the first supercar in the world which can go off-road thanks to its revolutionary suspension which they say will absorb any bumps and these won't be felt by the people sitting inside the cabin. Speaking of the interior, future versions could get a larger chassis to accommodate two rear seats.
