The 2014 Nissan Qashqai has been spied undergoing testing ahead of its launch early next year.
The pictures were taken at a relatively long distance, so details are hard to make out. However, we can see the model will have a curvaceous body with a prominent grille and a sloping rear end. The prototype also appears to feature sweptback headlights and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
Engine options remain unconfirmed but previous reports have indicated it could be offered with a 1.6-liter diesel as well as a supercharged 1.2-liter petrol that develops 113 bhp (84 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of torque. A plug-in hybrid variant is also expected but it might not arrive until 2015.
The Qashqai is slated to be unveiled in November, so stay tuned for full details.
