Hypercar battle: Bugatti Veyron vs. Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra [video]

Battle of the four-digit horsepower engines

The guys over at GTBOARD decided to pit the all-mighty Bugatti Veyron against the new kid on the block: Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra.

Both of them have more than 1,000 bhp and are also two of the most expensive cars in the world. In this 26-minute clip we see the Veyron and Agera S Hundra at Koenigsegg's testing facility in Sweden doing five separate runs on a runway of an air force base.

One can only wonder if the runs hadn't been conducted at Koenigsegg's HQ the end result would have been different. If the results have not been tampered with, Bugatti really needs a Super Veyron fast, especially now since the SSC Tuatara is just around the corner.

They need a Super Sport here... this bugatti has less than 1000 hp... more like 987hp. The super sports pushing close to 1200 i believe? which would be a better match with this hundra. either way, impressive on koenigsegg's part

It gives me great pleasure seeing the pretentious Veyron get dismantled by the Koenigsegg.

lol i see people so skeptic about the authenticity of the video.. yeah it was taken in sweden gtboard has always filmed their videos there.. and what is so surprising about the koenigsegg kicking the sh*t out of a 2 tons + car.. when they both have similar horsepower and torque with weight advantage to the keonigsegg.. the only way the bugatti had a chance of winning would be if the race started from zero, then it would have the traction advantage..

wow that video just sucked so much. where was the "vs"? theyre just driving in whats seems to be in circles and hitting the gas alittle bit, never do they even attempt to show either speedometer, or do they even say how fast theyre going, and the only good footage of either car was the last 10 sec of the vid. And that guy in the begining was just plain weird...

I was looking forward to see the video but after five minutes I've completely lost any interest. Nothing's happening. Just shaking camera and that guy in Bugatti talking the strange language blended from swedish, english and german was just utterly annoying. No subscribing, No liking on fb. Take the Koenigsegg's test driver Robert on Norschleife to do a lap in Agera there. Then I might be interested.

" especially now since the SSC Tuatara is just around the corner." ahahah, i believe it when i see it, if the engine doesn't explode in the first run. Many cars can be more powerful than the Bugatti, but 2 or 3 have the engineering and testing background, not to talk about refinement of it. After i saw Drive's videos on Koenigsegg, i got a different view on what the car maker actually is and the great mind of Christian Von Koenigsegg, while the other as to be Pagani.

Here is a point of view of one participant who was with Veyron owner:http://bugatticars.over-blog.com/article-bugatti-veyron-vs-koenigsegg-agera-s-hundra-118202486.html It becomes suspect the entire video is nothing more than Koeningsegg Hundra advertisement completed with Koeningsegg staff and the boss himself.

No it doesn't. The article simply talks about the event, nothing to suggest it was a set up, or an advertising stunt.

Not exactly a race when you seem to have no organised method of deciding when to 'GO!'. It just ends up as two cars driving down a runway, filmed very badly.

Something's fishy here...I would like to see an official test with the two cars.

Yes i also think so. The bugatti owner clearly isn't as experienced, I mean the sport mode was off at the beginning?? Also the difference seems a bit too big...

watching this video, was like watching a paint dry. Horrible. Bad camera work and the inane talking in that gibberish language gave me a headache, to the point I FF vid to the end just to have it done.

i don't know who these gtwhatever dudes are, but the quallity of the materials is well below low. I think some teens riding their parents cars can manage something better. And the guy at first, well, no comments :))
