Plays tribute to the company that became BMW

Rapp Motorenwerke GmbH isn't exactly a household name but its successor, Bayerische Motoren Werke (BMW) AG, is world renowned.

In an effort to pay tribute to the company and its founder, Karl Friedrich Rapp, Dejan Hristov has created some renderings of a BMW Rapp concept to celebrate the brand's 100th anniversary.

Looking undeniably aggressive, the Rapp is a two-seat roadster that has a forward slanting grille, ventilated front fenders and a low windscreen. The concept also has rear opening doors and a distinctive rear diffuser. Despite a number of retro touches, the Rapp is thoroughly modern as it is envisioned to have digital rearview mirrors and a pop-up roll bar.

According to Hristov, "The basic idea was to embrace the history of BMW [by] making this concept represent everything that BMW stands for as a company."

Nice car overall, maybe a little bit too aggressive. But this nose isn't beautiful nor aerodynamic so I wouldn't call it forward thinking.

carmageddon car. i like it's aggressiveness, but i don't think the front end will be too good of a friend with "mr_aerodynamics".

What a stunning presentation. From a creative pov, this whole collection conveys the message across beautifully. The design itself - while challenging on the one hand, is foreward thinking on the other. I'll give this a 9/10 rating. Very impressive and inspiring!

One word to describe this: amazing! And definitely ahead of it's time. I usually lean towards more conservative designs but the creative mind that designed this work of art is nothing short of genius. It's like looking at a the combination of classic indy racer, a powerful locomotive, and a naked super model all at the same time. You want something pretty? Go buy a Benz. This represents a testosterone overkill! Best concept I've seen in a long time. Hope they at least use it in a movie, since realistically, it'll stay only a concept.

Really nice...but a little too revealing...it needs a sleek but not too trashy Top.. :)
