A 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 exploded at a gas station during refueling.
Jalopnik received an e-mail from the owner's child who said his dad was returning from Indianapolis to Houston after watching the Indy 500. About 130 miles from home he made a stop at a gas station to refill his Gallardo.
The car was turned off during refueling but at one point the "engine literally exploded for to be investigated reasons." The good news is that nobody was injured during the peculiar incident and the gas station didn't explode.
The insurance company is currently investigating the spontaneous-combusted Gallardo to find out what happened.
