Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale by Zagato at Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este [video]

The Italian Viper

The rare Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale by Zagato has made an appearance at 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.

The car was developed to celebrate Alfa Romeo's 100th birthday and is based on the Dodge Viper ACR. Only nine cars were ever made, and all of them have a carbon fiber body with a "Kamm-tail" paying tribute to the classic TZ and TZ2. Power comes from a huge V10 8.4-liter engine producing 611 bhp (455 kW).

As a reminder, Zagato also made the TZ3 Corsa which is a race car built to celebrate 90 years of partnership with Alfa Romeo. Although in terms of design they look very similar, the Corsa variant is basically an entirely different car, with a handmade aluminum body, a V8 4.2-liter engine with 414 bhp (309 kW) and a six-speed sequential gearbox.
