The owner of a Tesla Model S Performance decided to check out the electric vehicle's top speed.
It might not be a high-performance sports car, but the Tesla Model S is still pretty quick (especially for an electric car). It was never designed to beat everyone on the drag strip yet the EV has an impressive acceleration on its way to a top speed of 133 mph (214 km/h). This shouldn't come as a big surprise taking into account that back in October last year it managed to beat a BMW M5 (F10) in a drag race.
Earlier this month Tesla announced a Model S Performance Plus variant which has an improved range and ride quality, along with a faster acceleration thanks to the new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 staggered tires.
