Trailer packed with supercars goes up in flames in Thailand [video]

Damages estimated at 3.3M USD

A trailer carrying several supercars caught fire in Thailand, causing massive damage to most of the vehicles.

The incident occurred in Bangkok's neighboring province of Nakohn Ratchasima where a trailer filled with supercars was affected by a massive fire which caused extensive damages to cars such as a Ferrari F430 (possibly a Scuderia), BMW X6 (M most likely), Lamborghini Murcielago and a Bentley Continental Flying Spur.

Luckily, another Bentley and a Mercedes-Benz were not affected by the fire, but the other four cars are worth around 100 million Baht (about 3.3M USD) taking into account the massive 200 percent import tax.

The cause of the fire is not known at the moment, but the local authorities are questioning the driver to find out what happened. Feel free to tell us if you know more. Let the Ferrari fire-related jokes commence.

I can translate for you. The guy at the end is the driver and he didn't know there was a fire on the back of his truck until the other car on the road told him so. Then the driver just pull over the truck to the side of the road, due to causing fire, the truck braking system was burnt as the result to the truck sliding and end up like that.

Just thinking. It could have happened AFTER the owner took delivery, when parked in the garage, and the owner would have lost his house as well..!!

Little tip for the trailer guy, next time put the italians above. Maybe the Bentley and X6 would have survived.

It is the curse of the Firrari. Remember the McLaren MP4-12C that was on fire? It was in Ferrari red color.

Bring on the jokes about super cars catching fire. Also, what the heck are they doing on an open air transporter?

The glue that they put in the engine bay of the Ferrari was heated by the sun. The magnifying effect of the transparent engine lid the Ferrari had caused the glue to suddenly combust. Ironically the lambo was a separate fire. It had electrical problems that caused the fuel leak it had to spark.

I'd imagine there's going to be quite a few disgruntled Thai millionaires who've been waiting months for those cars...
