The side profile is so much like a X1/X3 which are not exactly very pretty.

LOL! Such a busy and fussy design, which is a shame for the x5. What cracks me up the most is presenting this car alongside such a modern & minimalist home. The two couldn't be more different. I can see the new version appealing to women a lot more as the car seems to be a lot softer.

It looks OK, but don't the A, B and C pillars look the same as the previous generation? I have a feeling that this is just a heavy facelift, not a completely new model.

Those headlights style only looks good on 3 series. The design of this model is disgusting. I thought the new RR sport and ML were ugly, but now I can see they look pretty good when compared with F15.come on BMW,what happened?the old e70 was a pretty good thing to look from the back with those wheel arch fenders and wider 20 inch tires.

I'll save judgement until I see it in person but from what I see here... ugh...

The cabin looks a bit boxy, but nevertheless it'll sell like hot cakes...

I sure like the front, but rear is a bit strange. Rear lights seems.. big. and also rear is way too slim, would've wanted it to be more wider.

The looks of X5 is changing approximately at the same pace as the looks of 911. Are they really so satisfied with it or do they worry to do something extraordinary because of possible loss of customers?

I personally think BMW isn't altering the design drastically because it may alienate current X5 owners, so evolution rather than revolution may be ruling here.

this looks more like the current X3, not the previous X5, I can definitely see changes in the design on this thing when compared to the old (still current) one

BMW's NEW X5 was anticipated as a 'face-lifted' model and therefore did'nt draw much 'interest'. What has been released, is a car that has been 'extensively touched' (re-worked) without there being a 'huff & a puff' about it. It looks considerably smaller than the outgoing model and yet is bigger outside and inside. Talk about 'shrinkage'! Driving dynamics can be taken as a 'given'. Congratulations to Munich.

Looks great and the interior is big improvement over the previous one, I think they've done a great job here.

Looks way too heavy, zero dynamics, and that front with huge lights melted for some reason with the grill... This isn't BMW anymore.

And what does the A7 have to do with the X5? I think the A7 is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

I see BMW is copying audi ideas with that whole writing on the central knob.

I am a BMW fan.owner but this is a VERY HORRIBLE design. The way the C-pillars look from side view with the rear window is poor, and feel like two different vehicles glued together. The front is the most horrifying thing. It looks like they start the design from the back and they ended up with this space in the front so they filled it up with lights that have no shape or language or design theme to flow with the rest of the car lines, just space fillers, the way the engine cover looks on top of the kidneys (from side view) is so ugly it looks like one took their car to a bad body shop...extremely disappointing.. I am beginning to HATE this Van Hooydonk guy even more than Bangle...

X5 goes conservative in order to make X6 more radical?

I like it but the side profile looks generic, at first glance I thought WCF accidently included a pic of the new Nissan pathfinder (US model) which isn't bad but it lost its more aggressive look
