Due next year

The next generation of the Toyota Aygo has been spied by our photographers for the first time, before a possible 2014 launch.

At the beginning of last year Toyota released a facelift for the current-gen Aygo and now they are getting ready for its replacement which is believed to reach dealerships next spring or summer. As the spy shots show, Toyota will once again offer the petite Aygo as a five-door model.

Compared to the outgoing model, the new one will grow in size a little bit and will receive higher-placed taillights. Chances are the 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine will be tweaked to produce more than the current 67 bhp (50 kW) and 69 lb-ft (93 Nm) output, while fuel consumption should be lower than 4.4 liters / 100 km (53.4 mpg US or 64.2 mpg UK). There aren't any details right now about a diesel engine.

Yes. Toyota or PSA had confirmed it eariler on in the year. I'm not digging the Yaris-like door mirrors, the conventional door handles, and the lack of bulge that lead to the tail-lights.
