The 2014 MINI Cooper S has been spied once again, this time with slightly less camouflage.
Looking a bit longer and wider than the outgoing generation, the new MINI will come with slimmer A-pillars, longer bonnet and a smaller front grille. On this prototype we can notice the Cooper S-like air intake on the bonnet. The interior cabin is expected to receive a major overhaul, including a traditional instrument cluster replacing the center-mounted speedometer.
The Cooper S is likely to make use of a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline mill developing around 178 bhp (132 kW). The range-topping JCW version will have the same engine but tweaked to produce 217 bhp (162 kW).
