Reveals specifications for three different engines

The official unveiling of the 2014 Mercedes S-Class is less than a week away and a new promotional brochure has surfaced online.

While the brochure doesn't reveal much that we didn't already know, it confirms the model will be offered with at least three different engines.

The S350 BlueTEC will feature a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine that produces 258 HP (190 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. It will enable the model to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

Moving up to the S500 will reward buyers with a 4.7-liter V8 petrol engine that cranks out 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. This will allow the car to run from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, before topping out at 250 km/h (155 mph).

Lastly, the S400 Hybrid will have a hybridized 3.5-liter V6 engine which produces 306 HP (225 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. This will enable the luxury sedan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and have a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).

The S-Class is the S-Class. Anyone with this kind of money in this segment would purchase this vehicle over the competitors. It is just the way it is. I just can't explain it ????

Beautiful. The 3/4 profile image...fantastic. It was surely not an easy feat to best the recent variants of W221 which remain so stunning however W222 is easily more opulent in appearance and experience. I imagine it will be a visual sensation when seen on the streets in real time. The dash, steering wheel and interior as a whole are quite beautiful. Especially love the walnut trim option on the steering wheel.

Beautiful car! The leather on the dashboard is very nice I think, but the steering wheel looks a bit odd...

that is the fugliest dash i have ever seen. a blackout, rectangular, plastic looking dash? really?? u gotta have it on just to see an artifical spedometer and tach as well as for the other gauges? audi has nothing to be afraid of in terms of interior.

Unlike many people, I like the steering wheel. It's nothing like I've seen before and I like it a lot. Sleek design. And the car in general is awesome of course!

vehicles of this segment dont usually have that sorta sloppy roofline, coupe-like rear-end but this does which is just outstanding - OVERTHETOP
