The 2014 Skoda Octavia RS has been spied at the Nürburgring ahead of its official debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Looking virtually production ready, the lightly camouflaged prototype has conservative styling but is distinguished by a new front bumper, honeycomb grille inserts and a trunk-mounted spoiler. We can also see high-performance brakes and a dual exhaust system.
Skoda has been coy on specifications, but previously confirmed the model will be "longer, wider and lighter than its predecessor." The company also announced it will become the "fastest road-going" Octavia ever made.
Nothing is official, but the car is expected to feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops approximately 220 HP (162 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque.
