Lotus has announced the Exige S Roadster will enter production phase this summer, following last year's Geneva Motor Show debut.
Designed for those "who want some roofless-ly efficient fun", the roadster variant of the Exige S has a V6 3.5-liter supercharged engine delivering 345 bhp (257 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. Gearbox choices will include a 6-speed manual and an optional Serial Precision Shift (SPS).
When equipped with the manual gearbox, the Lotus Exige S Roadster will do 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds and 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.1 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 145 mph (233 km/h). Lotus says it will have a fuel consumption of 10.1 liters / 100 km (23.3 mpg US or 28 mpg UK).
