Jamiroquais Jay Kay praises the LaFerrari

'Just looking at it makes you want to drive it'

Jamiroquai's lead singer Jay Kay visited Maranello where he had the chance to take a look at the recently introduced 2013 LaFerrari.

Jay Kay is probably one of the biggest car fans in the music industry so it's no wonder he was very interested in having a look at Ferrari's new flagship model, especially since he has several models in his garage.

He told Luca di Montezemolo "it's an amazing car and, just looking at it makes you want to drive it." He also said "I think it's hard to imagine such a concentration of style, technology, performance and excitement all in the one package."

As a reminder, LaFerrari's styling was conceived in-house as Pininfarina's proposal was declined. This is the first model which hasn't been designed by Pininfarina since 1978 when the Dino GT4 came out.

Jay Kay views LaFerrari

There are plenty of musicians who are Ferrari fans, but only Jay Kay, leader of the band Jamiroquai, has managed to combine his own logo with that of the Maranello marque, as is the case on the cover of the album “Travelling without moving.”
Kay, who is in Italy to finalise details for his appearance at the music and literary festival, “Collisioni” which takes place on 5 July at Barolo (Turin,) is a loyal customer of ours and there are several Ferraris in his garage. So naturally, he was keen to stop off in Maranello to see at first hand the LaFerrari and the quintessence of its characteristics that make this car unique in the world: technical innovation, performance, futuristic styling and the special feeling one gets from driving it.

The English musician also got the chance to meet President Montezemolo, giving his impressions of the first ever hybrid supercar produced by Ferrari. “It’s an amazing car and, just looking at it makes you want to drive it,” said Jay. “I think it’s hard to imagine such a concentration of style, technology, performance and excitement all in the one package.”
During his stop in Maranello, Kay visited the factory and spent a long time in the Atelier Ferrari, where he was able to see for himself all the latest personalisation options on the cars available for customers of the Prancing Horse.

Find it quite strange that admin or writers at WCF has not pointed out or mentioned that the picture of Jay Kay is not with the La Ferrari but the F12... or perhaps regular readers would spot that from a mile and it's not worth mentioning

Probably collecting cars take the least knowledge... As long as u have the money to get the best... Could be why most artists seem to be car enthusiasts

The caption or comment is not saying THAT car is LaFerrari...They are just quoting what JK said about LaFerrari at a time most likely not when that pic was taken.
