Following the launch of the B3 and XD3 in Geneva, Alpina has released two videos presenting its latest projects.
The B3 is available as a sedan or a wagon and uses a straight-six, 3.0-liter gasoline twin-turbo engine producing 410 HP (301 kW) and 442 lb-ft (598 Nm). The vehicles will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.2 seconds, on their way to a top speed of 191 mph (305 km/h). Both of them can return 29.8 mpg US (35.8 mpg UK or 7.9 liters / 100 km).
The XD3 is the first BMW X-Series model modified by Alpina and makes use of a straight-six, 3.0-liter diesel twin-turbo engine pushing 350 HP (257 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque. 0-62 mph takes 4.9 seconds, en route to a top speed of 158 mph (253 km/h). Linked to an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox, the high-performance X3 crossover returns an impressive 41.5 mpg US (34.5 mpg UK or 6.8 liters / 100 km).
