Could this have saved the company?

Gray Design is back with another interesting render, this time of the 2013 Saab 9-3 that never was.

After showing us the Xhibitionist yacht and Xhibit G car design combo, Gray Design has focused its attention on the next-gen Saab 9-3 that never went into production. While the stock model probably wasn't enough to save the firm, things could have taken a turn for the better if the 9-3 looked something like this.

Featuring the company's "hockey stick" window trim and a horizontal chrome trim through the front grille, Gray Design's Saab 9-3 Mark III also adopts some of the more recent styling cues such as the frontal air intake, side vent and the horizontal brake light. It also has the rear spoiler but in a more attractive approach compared to the standard variant.

SAAB could have been saved if there was no interference from the Americans (GM)

Awesome view from 3/4 rear but I am not sure of its overall proportion, though. Such as the C-pillar on top of rear wheel - looks unusual from side profile. Is it a 2-box, 2.5 or 3-box? But still a commendable effort. ;)

Concepts usually look great. Turn this into production-ready form and it probably won't look appealing.

Like it, a lot. But, is this for real, this time?

Beautiful design, but with the swooping roofline, only Danny DeVito would fit in the back without banging his head.

i see saab cues...excelent design on the rear and side. the front doesn't fit them. it's just added afterwards, to resemble 2000's saabs

I see a lot of Insignia cues in the side and rear profiles...
