In China

Chinese website Auto.163.com has posted two spy photos showing an undisguised 2014 BMW 5-Series facelift.

We've already seen several spy shots with the facelifted 5-Series but this is the first time without camouflage. Changes are limited to the front bumper which now hosts larger fog lamps surrounded by chrome detailing. The profile of the car has remained virtually unchanged, while at the back the bumper has suffered some minor revisions.

Unlike our previous series of spy photos which showed round pipes this one has oval ones, but this could be specific for the Chinese variant. The interior cabin will also go through some mild changes while the engine lineup will probably be carried from the current version with a few tweaks for increased efficiency.

Expect an unveiling next week in Geneva or in April at 2013 Auto Shanghai.

Special thanks to Shrawan for sending the tip!

I thought facelifts make the vehicle more appealing? this isnt even a facelift, but hey BMW owners will brag to each other about the minor changes like they re groundbreaking ideas.

At least they did not go for the chrome `stache connecting the kidney to the headlines, like on the 3 series.

It's lazy, incoherent and cheapens the 5 by pilfering that front bumper from the 3 series.

There's no need for a major facelift since BMW is the best looking car in its class right now. Audi A6 is dull as hell and don't get me started on how merc screwed up the E-Class.

So they only put a bling on the front bumber and reshaped the exhaust, its still a blank car to look at, only people with huge ears drives it
