2014 Jeep Cherokee render brings normal front fascia

2014 Jeep Cherokee render brings normal front fascia
2014 Jeep Cherokee render / Theophilus Chin

By Theophilus Chin

Theophilus Chin decided to give the new Cherokee a different front fascia which looks significantly better than the real version.

After envisioning a MINI rival from Mercedes-Benz, Theophilus Chin is back to fix the 2014 Cherokee's bold yet unappealing front. The most significant change would have to be the addition of regular headlights instead of those Juke-styled lights. He also moved the grille a bit lower and made other minor changes.

Overall, the car looks a lot better and many will think this should have been the real 2014 Cherokee instead of what we'll see next month at the New York Auto Show when the vehicle will get its public debut.

I don't think there is a way to fix this thing. Start from scratch!

Smaller headlights make the Jeep look awkward. Otherwise pretty cool. Shame there is no rear end picture.

because this is a fast photoshop you couldn't get better result. it does look bad, but the idea is in the right direction. all it needs is a complete rebuit of the front end (changing the grilles and the curvature of the bonnet)

I quite like the original's tiny upper headlights. IMO i suggest remove the lower headlamps, as well as the chrome surround from the lower grill.

Not bad as the original but i still dont like this car. Cars are like women. And if you are a ugly woman, you can improve doing plastic surgery but you will never be a top model!

Anywhere on the web or in publications they have not shown the rear of the car. Is it that bad? Worst yet than the front?

The real one is better, put them side by side and you'll see what separates the pros from these freelancing bloggers.

I like the idea of a more normal fascia but this render is clearly wrong… it has a sort of Neanderthal-like prominent brow (unless that's just a mishandling of perspective): it should be improved, but it's definitely pointing in the right direction.

Compared to this, the original looks gorgeous! Well done, Chrysler-Fiat!

significantly better??? thats significantly more boring just like the compass... although it doesn't appeal to everyone at least the original one has some character!

Anybody who thinks this actually looks better than the real thing should get his eyes checked.

And I would suggest that anyone who thinks the actual facelift looks better than this should stop smoking crack. Obviously both versions are far from looking appealing, but at least this render stays somewhat relevant to Jeep's design. The actual facelifted Jeep looks like an abomination.

yes and lately some articles on worldcarfans are pretty subjective, how can a render be better?!

I agree, often the most polarizing designs are the ones that become classics (not that I expect that from a Jeep). When you design to please everyone, you get Vanilla (or the Chevy Malibu). The original is not the best thing I've ever seen, but it's interesting and a new direction for Jeep, which is positive. And if I wanted to read ridiculously subjective opinion pieces I'd be on Jalopnik, thanks.

Remove that second set of headlights and you've got a winner!
