Lotus Elise powered by Honda Civic Type R engine [video]

Elise Type R

This is a Lotus Elise powered by a Honda engine taken from a Civic Type R.

The tuning industry never rests and we get to see heavily modified cars like the EVO X with 908 AWHP or the Plymouth Prowler with a HEMI V8 engine. Just like the Prowler, this Lotus Elise has received an engine transplant, taken straight from a Honda Civic Type R.

This Honda K20 V-Tec engine generates 250 HP (184 kW) and is quite similar to the K20A mill powering the Mugen RR. Matching a Lotus Elise with a Honda engine is somewhat of a novelty but the end result sounds and seems fast judging by the attached video.
